Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil Review

Trilogy – Certified Organic Rosehip Oil

I purchased this Certified Organic Rosehip Oil from Trilogy months ago but it’s taken me a while to get my review finished as not long after I started using it I had a bad skin breakout caused by something else I was using and so I immediately stopped using all new products until I could work out what the problem was. Anyway, this oil has been hailed as a miracle product by many other beauty bloggers and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about so I have recently started using it again.

Many of Trilogy’s products centre around Rosehip Oil and I love the fact this product is so natural and organic. I was a bit disappointed that it didn’t smell of roses, in fact it has hardly any scent at all, but that is where my disappointment stops. Trilogy claim that this product can help heal scars and fade wrinkles and stretch marks, it is suitable for both the body and the face and is particularly great for dehydrated or aging skin.

I have been applying Trilogy’s Rosehip Oil to my face before bed, you only need around 4 small drops and then massage them in to the skin really well using little circular movements. The oil sinks in to the skin really quickly without leaving an oily residue on the surface, although I have found that if I use the oil on my face in a morning my make-up doesn’t last as long which is why I have only been using it at night. After using the oil in an evening for around a week I found that my skin looked nice and clear and I have definitely experienced fewer blemishes since starting to use it although I’m not sure it’s had any effect on the few old acne scars I have on my cheeks. I have combination skin and the Rosehip Oil suits me quite well, it makes my dry forehead and cheeks feel lovely and hydrated but it doesn’t make my oily nose and chin feel any more oily and it helps keep blemishes at bay… what more could I ask for?!

Overall I love this Certified Organic Rosehip Oil and I will continue to use it on my face before I go to bed to help keep my skin moisturised and clear from blemishes. It would make a great treatment or massage oil too as part of a facial and I have also used it as a cuticle oil to help keep my nails looking their best.

I have been using the small 20ml bottle size and this will last me for months just using 4 drops a day, but it is also available in a larger 45ml bottle. I love the no-fuss packaging – the dark glass bottle with its dropper lid – I think it looks quite clinical but dependable.

Certified Organic Rosehip Oil prices starts at $21.95AUD for 20ml, available from Trilogy.
